Hello! It's your RAD! - "Radiz Sutthisoontorn" as most of my photographer friends know me on IG: @the.local.host. I’m a Bangkok-based photographer drawn to everyday life — people, places, and the small things that keep bringing me back.
I bought my first camera in 2017, after not touching one since junior high school. Once I had it, I began photographing the things around me — candid moments at the office, people on the street, and quiet interactions with my partner.
What began as simply documenting everyday life gradually became a way of paying closer attention to people — how they behave, how they move through places, and the small rituals that happen around us every day.
By late 2021, I knew I wanted to understand photography more seriously. I began talking to professional photographers I knew, asking questions and learning from the way they saw and thought about photographs. In 2022, I started joining workshops with photographers and mentors from Thailand and abroad, which gradually shifted my focus from making individual photographs to thinking in sequences and longer bodies of work.
Today, my practice moves between street photography and longer-term personal and documentary projects. Some begin with a place or an event; others simply come from something I keep returning to. I am interested in how individual photographs can connect, accumulate, and eventually become something larger than a single frame.
